Maruti Ritz is the Indian version of the Suzuki Splash. The Maruti Ritz has an array of safety features. The Maruti Ritz comes with 1.2 litre K12 petrol engine and 1.3 litre diesel engine, both with optimum fuel efficiency. The petrol version has maximum power output of 85bhp and torque of 113Nm, while the diesel unit has 75bhp and 190Nm of torque. 

Maruti Ritz initially came with a petrol engine but now it comes with a diesel engine and there is also an automatic variant too.

Exterior

The Ritz is small hatch back but it does come with modern style and exterior look. The front bumper and grille look sporty and the wheel arches also add aggressive stance to the car.

Interior

The dashboard and instrument panel are modern and of good design. The seats are also comfortable and there is lots of space in the front and the rear. There is lots of space for headroom but less legroom in the rear.

Engine

The petrol engine features 1.2 litre 4 cylinder K12B engine with power output of 85bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The diesel variant has 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine with 75bhp and 190Nm of torque. Both the petrol and the diesel engine has 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant also comes with 4-speed automatic CVT transmission.

Acceleration

The acceleration of car is mainly dependent on the power, torque and transmission gearbox of the car. The pickup and acceleration of a car is very essential. Maruti Ritz crosses the barrier of 100 Kms in just 14.71 seconds and reaches top speed of 156kmph.

The petrol variant has fuel economy of almost 15kmpl and the diesel variant gives 19kmpl.

Review : The car is light and compact and handles brilliantly on Indian roads. Maruti Ritz is easy to drive in traffic. Steering feedback is good though and it is light but direct.

Feature of New Maruti Wagon R (2014 Model) (Hindi) (1080p HD)

The new Maruti Wagon R is far better in its looks, far more aggressive and spacious while now being far more sophisticated in its appearance both inside and out. 

The new Wagon R is based on an all-new platform which is substantially larger. If you compare it with the older VXi, the new car is 3,595mm long and the older on is 3,520mm. It's grown in width too from 1,490mm to 1,495mm and is now taller than the older car by 10mm at 1700mm.

It has a 2400mm wheelbase and a turning radius of 4.6 meters. LXi and VXi variants of Maruti Wagon R has Electric Assist power steering. The wheel and tyre size on the VXi trim level has grown to 155/65 R14 while the LX and LXi come with 145/70 R13s.

Interior

The car is really spacious and has new large dashboard (which is a fairly well-sized mass of plastic) feels decent to the touch. The car has cup holders (which are a push type) just ahead of the front air-con vents so that your cold drink keeps cool.

The speedometer cluster is modern and racy looking and there is digital fuel readout for fuel level and the odometer. The new Wagon R has integrated audio kit with an Aux-in on the VXi variants but it misses steering mounted controls.

Drive Train

The Wagon R is powered by new K10B series engine which is BS-IV spec to meet with current emission regulations. It has three cylinder 998cc powerplant that give power of 67Bhp at 6200rpm and 90Nm of torque at 3500rpm. 

The K10B engine is not just BS-IV but is also E10 (Ethanol 10% mix) compliant making it more environmentally friendly. The car does cruise comfortably at a 100kph but the engine does get quite noisy when pushed close to the rev limit. The new Wagon R is available in the CNG version too. 

Safety

The higher torque does help as does the better shifting gearbox (with a new cable type mechanism), the light clutch and the more ergonomically shaped gear lever. 

The new Wagon R give mileage of 18.9 kmpl. The top end model of the new Wagon R comes with ABS and Airbags. The VXi variant of the Wagon R is equipped with dual SRS airbags to safeguard the occupants during collision. The air bags reduce the force of impact on the head and chest of the passengers.

Overall Evaluation

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R comes with numerous safety features. The new Wagon R has unique Antilock Braking System (ABS) and iCAT intelligent computerized anti-theft system.

Maruti Celerio has a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder K-series petrol engine which give out a top power of 67bhp and maximum torque of 90Nm. This engine is available with a five-speed manual and automated gear box transmission. 

This small car gives an impressive mileage of 23.1 kmpl.

Acceleration

The manual version of Maruti Celerio is capable to reach 100 Kmph mark in about 14.9 seconds and it has top speed in the range of 130 to 140 Kmph. While the auto gear shift version takes about 15 to 16 seconds to reach a 100 Kmph mark and it has top speed of approximately 145 Kmph.

Exterior

The front façade of Celerio is dressed up with wraparound shaped headlamp cluster that has a powerful headlamp and turn indicators. It surrounds a wide radiator grille with horizontally positioned chrome.

The CNG variant of Celerio is available on the VXI platform and is powered by the same K10B petrol engine. The CNG variant has 31.7 Km/kg of the fuel efficiency.

Breaking System

The front wheels of Celerio has ventilated disc brakes while the rear ones has traditional drum brakes which works together and enables immediate braking action.

It also has the anti lock braking system which prevents the wheels from locking when sudden brakes are applied. 

The front axle is paired with a McPherson Strut suspension system while the rear axle gets a coupled torsion beam. It is also loaded with coil springs, which further enhance the suspension mechanism.
